All we had to do was ask the bell hop to open the gate for us with his key and let us in ;)
As you can tell by Grandfather Clay's face his dream is literally coming true by being able to walk his grandson Charley through Gramercy Park.
Of course he was also happy to have his daughters and son in law join him as well.
At one point he was overjoyed to have discovered a hollow tree in the park straight out of Disneyland where Chip and Dale or Mr Toad could have possibly lived!!
When I went to peek my head in I honestly did find Chip...or Dale...and snapped a quick shot before he scampered up the inside of the hollow tree.
After we made it through the park we headed to brunch. Then we split into two groups. With Group Clay wandering off to some other unknown part of the city he had heard about while Group Katey, Jamie, and Charley and Tom walked through Central Park to the Museum of Natural History.
This is an odd deer head that I saw in the museum. I'm sure one day Charley will find it interesting.
Here Aunt Boo and mom pretend to have fun at the museum for Dad and Charley's sake.
Here's mom in front of some dangerous looking Brazilian indians....
...and the shrunken heads they've made. Notice the naked butt in the back ground.
Here's a giant turtle dad took a pic of. But when you think about it, this could be a tiny tiny turtle as I forgot to frame it against mom or aunt boo for a size reference. Seriously though...this thing is the size of our living room.
Here is mom and Charley entering the Hall of Pterosaurs...which is only fitting if you've ever heard Charley cry out...he sounds like a pterodactyl.
Charley's first dinosaur. He was pretty pleased.
Here's dad mimicking the brown bears in the display....much to the delight of Charley (below)
