Charley heads to MONTANA!

Our first stop in Montana!...
....only because Charley was hungry.
Mom loved feeding Charley in the parking lot at the Lincoln's WORLD FAMOUS 50,000 Silver Dollar bar!

Mom claims she gets soooo car sick sitting in the back so Dad and Charley hung out in the back seat while mom drove.

After an arduous journey we finally made the south end of our destination....FLATHEAD LAKE!!
We had to stop to feed Charley...AGAIN.  Even Roger was excited to get out!

Charley looks well fed here.

...and a little crazy eyed here.

WE FINALLY MAKE IT AFTER A LONG DRIVE!
Charley quickly befriends a pheasant in the cabin...

...then an indian....

...and then a cowboy...although he seems rather uninterested in this one.

Dad introduces Charley to "Lily" the buffalo!
Charley can't wait until his hair is as thick as Lily's.

The next day we took Charley on a walk...uphill...in the rain...

...it was a bad idea.  Charley refused to go any farther than this cherry orchard.
Then we realized Roger rolled in some kind of animal poop.  He smelled horrible.  Here he happened to be photographed the instant he caught a whiff of himself.
Between the walk and the stinky dog, Mom and Charley were worn out.

The weather that evening actually turned out all right.
Road trips with infants are FUN!!  On our way home Charley made us take TWO unscheduled stops for dirty diapers.

We were so fed up with his poopy/wet diapers by this point Dad was ready to wait in the bathroom at the gas station and ask a pervert if he wanted to change Charley's diapers....just so we wouldn't have to.  Mom quickly vetoed this idea.
When we left Mom took the wheel again....Charley and Dad complained from the back seat that she was driving too slow...

...we were wrong.

Here Mom tries to talk her way out of the ticket...with blatant lies such as "our baby is sick and screaming and we are just trying to get home and blah blah blah"...the patrol man wasn't having any of it.  Dad looked to Charley to back up Mom's story....

...but all the pinching in the world couldn't waken him out of his deep slumber to play along.  WAY TO BLOW IT CHARLEY!!  YOU OWE MOM 85 BUCKS!
Overall it was a GREAT trip.  Charley can't wait to go back.
