Charley goes to Glacier National Park!

Charley got this new boat and "kicked about" for an hour or two in it...

...He almost got deep sixed by Dad.

I believe Henry is chewing on a fishing net here....good boy.

We woke up to a very nice day on the lake...

....so we left early and took Charley to Glacier National Park!

The view from Apgar village over Lake McDonald...

...the view from the donut hole line.

As we continued up the steep and precarious Going-To-The-Sun Road Charley happily played with his trucks....

...while Mom curled up...frozen with fear!!

But we made it.  Here we start out on the trail to Hidden Lake.  Can we find it??

...I think this wooden walkway might lead us down the right path!

Mom and Charley overlooking the Going-To-The-Sun road...

Uh Oh...The wooden path has come to a stop at a snowfield!  In July!!

Dad and Charley plow ahead.

Fearless Explorers.

This section of the path was a little precarious.  I think Charley learned several swear words in Japanese from the old lady in front of us.

Mom was grateful we made it through the scary part.

We arrive at Hidden Lake!  That last bit of snow behind Mom's head is a glacier!!

Charley and Dad were pretty proud of themselves.

Family shot.  They should have called it Windy Lake.

See that blurry white spot in the middle of the rock pile?  Unfortunately, that's as close as we got to a goat that day.

Henry certainly appreciated our return home that afternoon.

Grandpa T took Henry, Charley, and mom on a nice vehicle ride.

This might be the look mom and dad sees in twenty years if Charley ever flunks out of school somewhere.

Henry is just like a new puppy!!  He loved rib bones!

Grandpa T reads a little Curious George to his grandsons.
